1979-2010 Department of Justice. An Garda Siochana.
For his final 19 years of service in An Garda Siochana, Kevin was appointed Juvenile Liaison Officer with responsibility for the Clontarf Sub-District. In this role he conducted talks on Bullying, Substance Abuse, Consequences of Crime, Careers and many other topics on an almost daily basis to numerous schools, clubs and sporting organisations. He worked very closely with the following schools- King’s Hospital School, Sutton Park, Maryfield Convent, Mt. Temple Comprehensive, Ard Scoil Ris, Holy Faith Convents Clontarf and Killester, St. Pauls CBS, St. Davids CBS, St. Fintans High School, Pobal Scoil Rosmini, Pobal Scoil Neasain, St. Josephs CBS and Marino V.S. The role also involved liasion with parents, parents counsels and community groups (including the Order of Malta, the Scouts, and various Womens Groups.
Kevin’s ability to communicate with children during workshops is quite remarkable. His knowledge of bullying and cyber bullying issues is extremely comprehensive, and this combined with 19 years experience talking to students ( at both primary and post-primary levels) and his empathetic, interactive style, have made his workshops a memorable experience for students, teachers and parents.
